CASH DONATIONS

Cash contributions are used for our unrestricted fund to underwrite grants submitted by teachers and staff. The donations are deductible as an itemized tax deduction in the year you make the donation, up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income. Excess charitable contributions can be carried forward for up to five additional years.

RESTRICTED OR DESIGNATED FUND

Individuals and family foundations can establish funds “in honor” or “in memory” of individuals to be used for designated grants or scholarships to students (usually seniors) who demonstrate excellence and fulfillment of a fund’s criteria. An endowed fund can be created with a minimum of $2,000. Your donation will continue to grow through reinvestment, as well as through additional contributions. Annual distributions are used to support the specified activity or purpose. Funds can be named as requested by the donor.
